Recently ive been trying to farm with a 55 SV necro. In NM i didn't run into problems when farming. But in HM there's something that bothers me. I run to the boss and his group, put my enchants and stuff up. then i agro the group and put SV on the boss, he starts attacking me and i continu as normal but then when he's at less then 20% of his HP he runs away. Now ive tried stopping him from running with a wall, he doesnt run, but then he doesnt attack either. He starts attacking when he's healthy again, but i just cant get him to die. So far i've tried this on melee bosses (paragon and warrior). I was wondering if this was normal and what i can do about it (if anything).

Usually if you attack a foe continuously, they won't be as prone to running off.

how about simply adapting your build and take something with you to finish him off?
Like necrosis or something.

This. Spear makes it easier, but I use a sword for my outfit and it does fine.

or even a wand or sword... just make sure u are hitting him and he wont go anywhere
